Biography

Datin Woon Huei Chin is co-founder of Tiong & Woon since 2012. She graduated from University of Reading, United Kingdom. During her English Bar studies, she gained court experience by doing mini-pupillage at 6 King’s Bench Walk, London. She then qualified as a Barrister-at-Law from the Lincoln’s Inn, United Kingdom in 2007 and was called to the High Court of Malaya in 2008.

She started her practice in the Intellectual Property Department of one of the biggest firm in Malaysia, where she was exposed to the rudiments of various types of high profile cases involving intellectual property litigation. During this time, she also handled trade mark infringement, passing off, copyright and extensive trademarks portfolio of the firm. She was subsequently offered by Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill to join their Litigation Department in year 2010.

She is actively involved in a broad range of civil, corporate and commercial litigations where it involves Developers, Highway Concessionaire, Private and Public Multinational Companies. Matters handled by Datin Woon have been acknowledged by clients as “leaving in good hands”. She is further adored for her ‘crunchy and crispy’ drafting skills where complex situations can always be illustrated in simple, concise and easy to digest style that are helpful for Courts, without compromising on quality.

She is known to have warm personality towards people. Her forte is to advise the commercial entities on corporate fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, and risk management advice for corporations. She also advises healthcare industry, confinement centres and the law pertaining to digital marketing.
